同時通訳とは✐

人がしゃべっているときに、同時に、同じ内容を、違う言葉で

しゃべります。

でもなんで同時にしゃべれるのかな❢

実は、まったく同時じゃなくて、ちょっとは遅れていると思いますが＾＾；。

For simultaneous interpretation, you must keep focusing on listening 

and comprehending the speaker. 

Almost all the energy and concentration should be used for comprehension, 

and you shouldn't need to worry about your utterance(hopefully!).

同時通訳をするときは、

聞き続けて、理解し続けなくちゃいけません。

ほとんど全てのエネルギーは、理解することにつかって、

自分の口は勝手にしゃべってくれるとありがたい♥

でも、もちろん時々ふっと集中力が一瞬途切れてしまったり、

単語ひとつがわからなかったり、

とつぜん話がみえなくなっちゃう時があります。

一瞬のうちに、話はずーっと先まで進んでしまい、

通訳者はおいていかれ、

通訳を聞いてくれていた皆さんも

話の流れにおいていかれてしまいます☹

But of course you may lose concentration all of sudden, or

you may not know just one word in the speech,

and you just get lost in translation! 

In a moment, the speech has moved on and on  far ahead.

The translator is left behind,

and the audience is left behind... 

どうしよう。。。！

でも、たぶん大丈夫★

同時通訳で大切なことは、たくさん喋って訳すことじゃなくて、

自分じゃないその人が、ほんとに言いたいこと、言わなくちゃいけないことを

しっかり理解して、受け止めて、

それを聞いてる人に一番わかりやすい言葉にして伝えること。

もし聞いてる人が子供だったら、子供にわかりやすく伝えること。

たっくさん訳しても、きっと早口になりすぎて、

逆にわかりづらくなってしまいそう。

Don't worry, it should work out right☺

For simultaneous interpretation, 

you shouldn't try to translate as much as you can. 

The most important thing should be to grasp 

what the speaker really wants to say, 

and what he really needs to say. 

And translate it to the expression that is most relevant to the audience.

だから、もしおいてきぼりにされても、あわあわしないで大丈夫。

その一瞬だけ消えちゃっても、またすぐ気を取り直して

話に入り込んで、大切なポイントを見極めて、わかりやすく

言葉にしていく。

そうすると、きっと皆さんは、一瞬が消えてたことも気付かないかもしれません。

"大切なポイント"は逃してはいけないけど、

でも、きっとほんとに大切なポイントは、何回か繰り返し登場するだろうと

期待して。。。＾＾　
So you don't need to panic. 
You just need to be back to the speech 
and restart comprehending to grasp the main points, 
and put them in the most audience-friendly expression.
Then the audience  may even not notice that you were lost in one moment. 


同時通訳では、わかったことをどれだけ削ることができるか、
どれだけ捨てることができるかが大切なのかな。
聞いてる人のことを想って、誠実に向き合えば、きっとできると思います。
話している人も、聞いてる人も、国は違っても同じ人間＾＾。
絶対わかりあえるって信じて、このお仕事しています♪


The speaker and the audience, although they have different nationalities
with different background, after all we are all human☺
We should be able to understand each other, and that's the positive motivation
to inspire me to support people as a communicator★
