♦Poder de la Naturaleza♦

Everyone is just the same in the power of nature.
CEO would have to go up the stairs when a lift is stopped.
Probably the most powerful force would be your will and action to help others.
Others would then want to be of help to you as well.

La sala donde dormimos para evacuación.

We shouldn't take for granted all the technology and the advanced lifestyle
that we have, but should be mindful that all could be gone all of sudden,
which should be just natural for the nature.

✑Traducción Simultánea ✑

For simultaneous interpretation, you must keep focusing on listening
and comprehending the speaker.
Almost all the energy and concentration should be used for comprehension,
and you shouldn't need to worry about your utterance(hopefully!).
But of course you may lose concentration all of sudden, or
you may not know just one word in the speech,
and you just get lost in translation!
In a moment, the speech has moved on and on  far ahead.
The translator is left behind,
and the audience is left behind...

Don't worry, it should work out right☺
For simultaneous interpretation,
you shouldn't try to translate as much as you can.
The most important thing should be to grasp
what the speaker really wants to say,
and what he really needs to say.
And translate it to the expression that is most relevant to the audience.

So you don't need to panic.
You just need to be back to the speech
and restart comprehending to grasp the main points,
and put them in the most audience-friendly expression.
Then the audience  may even not notice that you were lost in one moment.

The speaker and the audience, although they have different nationalities
with different background, after all we are all human☺
We should be able to understand each other, and that's the positive motivation
to inspire me to support people as a communicator

Aunque tienen nacionalidades distintas el hablante y auditorio,
después de todo, todos son los humanos.
Estoy segura que podrán comprenderse mutuamente

✏Intérprete✏

The job of interpreter gives you intriguing opportunities
to draw on someone else's experience or life that you would've never lived,
as if you were the person.
The job also gives you fascinating opportunities to listen to stories or
knowledge that you would've never reached out in your own world.
Lots of challenges, but lots to learn, and lots to enjoy

  Según eso, ellas tienen puntos en común;
superaron un pasado doloroso con esfuerzo,
poreso eran fuertes y preciosas

Manuel
English comes after Japanese)

Manuel and his family came to Japan from Argentine 20 years ago, when he was only 12 years old. At that age, he was thrown into a totally different culture and started his new life. After overcoming lots of hardships and so many experiences, he now stable life of his own. He shared his experience and thought that he has embraced in his life!

No quería venir a Japón mucho.

①How did you feel when you came to Japan?
-I was only 12 years old, which was rather difficult age. I didn’t want to come to Japan. I had lots of friends and families in Argentina and didn’t want to leave them. Also that age in Argentina is the time when a boy changes to an adult. A bit different from a Japanese boy with the age. People started to treat me as an adult with respect. So, I had to behave well or speak well. At the same time, I was able to start a new way of enjoying, such as going to club or movie at night. I liked my life as an adult in Argentina.

②Was it difficult to adapt yourself to Japanese life with the different language?
-At first, I was very embarrassed because I couldn’t speak Japanese well at such a difficult age. Also in my heart, I hadn’t accepted at all that I would come to Japan. Basically I was not interested in Japan and the language, and thought that I would return to Argentina. Really, I have only negative memory about that time. So, the first three years in the junior high school was very hard. However, in high school, Japanese boys started to grow and be mature, and the distance between us started to be closer.

③Do you think that Japan is the society of machismo?
-I don’t think so that much. Well, although still women may have only limited opportunities in general, they also think that it is just normal. In one part, they want to break out the convention, however I think at first they have given up on the actual situation. So, I don’t think we can just accuse the society. I think the both sides; the society and women have responsibility.

④Do you think that you have more Japanese than Spanish as the language, and more Japanese than Argentine as the personality?
-Well, although Japanese is easier to speak now, I feel relaxed or can release my stress when I speak Spanish. I feel comfortable and feel that I am in my own place. Regarding my personality, I feel I have both. But, probably I am a bit more Japanese because I look Japanese and I have spent more time now in Japan. Having said so, I have kept some aspect as Argentine, such as the way of thinking or spending time, which I feel more comfort as an Argentine.

Do you think certain thing would have been easier if you were in Argentina?
-Now I don’t think that way, because I have been here for 20 years. However, I felt so too much when I was in junior high. But my parents helped me so much. Sometimes they gave me strict words, but also supported me much and showed me the vision in my future with direction. Although my father was so busy with his work, he helped me so much to learn Japanese language. I didn’t have many people to ask questions, so my father made much efforts for me. For us, the family to start everything from nothing, staying together was the most important thing than anything else.

⑥Do you think that you would have had a different dream if you were in Argentina?
-Yes. Now I am working for one company and making efforts to grow by learning so much. But at the same time, if there is opportunity, I would also like to have my own business in the future. One idea is, by using Spanish I want to support Spanish-speaking people who come to Japan, to find a job, as a job agency. But it doesn’t mean that finding them a job right way, but it could be a place to provide them with certain training, because some people may not be fully prepared. There may be already such agency now, but I would like to do more and better because my cousin and friends are suffering too. There are competent people with lots of capability and technical capacity, but can’t get a job just because of the nationality. I would like to help them in form of combination of voluntary and business. So many people have helped me in my life too, so this is my dream.

¡Muchisimas gracias Manuel!
